This is my personal review as I bring you inside the studio so you can actually see what a class consists of up close and personal. Orangetheory Fitness, the energizing group interval fitness concept that is sweeping the nation! Orangetheory Fitness is a one-of-a-kind workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training, using a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX suspension training™ and free weights to tone your body and gain energy throughout the day.
Orangetheory Fitness has been featured in The New York Times as an effective new plateau-busting workout in which participants can burn up to 900 calories in a 60-minute session. Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy.
The result is the Orange Effect – more energy, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours after your workout! So, your done with your workout after 60 minutes but your workout keeps working for you for the next 36 hours! I don’t know about you but that is a sweet deal! Participants complete four 10 minute intervals throughout the hour. This workout helps build strength, increase energy, surpass workout plateaus and tone and shape your body like nothing else. You rotate between a treadmill, a rowing machine, light free weights, TRX unit suspension training and floorwork involving your core.
I can tell you from personal experience and you can see from the video above, this is the best one hour workout I have ever participated in by far. Orangetheory fitness is producing visible results quickly as my body is transforming in a short amount of time. Dedicate 2-3 hours a week by attending two to three one hour classes and just watch what happens to your body! You will be very happy with the results.
The other key benefit to Orangetheory Fitness is it’s done in a group environment with a trainer right there helping and guiding you every step of the way. That provides motivation and everyone in the class supports each other and it can provide that little bit of a extra push to get you to your fitness goals faster!
Orangetheory Fitness provides the heart rate monitors and measures your heart rate for you to see on a big screen all throughout the class. At the end of the class your overall results are posted so you can see exactly how long you were in the orange zone which is optimal for fat burning. The goal is to be in the orange zone for 12-20 minutes total out of the hour long class.
