Will The FDA Pass A Mandatory GMO Labeling Law?

GMO Labeling Law, Fact Or Fiction?

High-level executives from some of the U.S.’s largest food corporations are meeting with the FDA behind closed doors this week to lobby for a mandatory federal GMO labeling law. Could it be that bad press and consumer backlash have dulled the enthusiasm of these former biotech cheerleaders? On the other hand, is Big Food just cozying up to the FDA so they can derail the growing organic and anti-GMO movement and finagle a federal labeling law so toothless it will not be worth the ink it takes to sign it? Study On GMO Health Risks Calls For Embargo

There was uproar as the results of the very first study on GMO health risks related to prolonged ingestion was released recently. With people all over the country calling for an embargo on GMO’s, it seemed conspicuous that mainstream media chose to remain silent on the issue. Mainstream media groups such as The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, BBC, and various other mainstream media groups based in the U.K. did not even bother mentioning the study. To exacerbate the entire situation, those media groups that did cover the story, did so with prejudice and the U.K. based media just never mentioned at all. It begs the question, is the media covering up the report on GMO health risks? Continue reading
